Derek van Bever is a Senior Lecturer of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. He is a 1988 graduate of Harvard Business School and a 2011 graduate of Harvard Divinity School. Derek van Bever collaborated with faculty from Harvard Business School, Harvard Divinity School, and the Harvard School of Public Health to create and then teach annually an intensive course on "The Spiritual Lives of Leaders;" the course brings together leaders from the private and public sectors to discuss with students how their faith and spiritual commitments and practices shape their agency and ambition. His current interests include practices and disciplines for retaining a sense of perspective in the “high hurry” of business life as well as further research on the spiritual lives of leaders.
