Course description

This course will educate participants about issues specific to women with neurological and psychiatric diseases. The presentations will focus on sex differences in neurological and psychiatric conditions across all stages of women’s lives - from menarche through pregnancy/postpartum and menopause. The course is designed to address the continuing education needs of all clinicians including, but not limited to, those in neurology, psychiatry, internal medicine and obstetrics. The presentations will provide high-quality, leading-edge content focusing on evidence-based clinical approaches and up-to-date research on women’s health and sex-specific care in both neurology and psychiatry. Interactive learning formats including panel discussions, case-based presentations and Q&A will be utilized to allow learners to engage in the educational process. 

This is an accredited, livestreamed course offered by Brigham and Women's Hospital. This course is targeted to specialty physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, primary care physicians, psychologists, physician assistants. This course may also be of interest to physicians who practice in internal medicine, anesthesiology, obstetrics and gynecology, psychology and mental health, psychiatry and neurology.
