Marcia Castro, PhD, is Associate Professor of Demography in the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her research focuses on the development and use of multidisciplinary approaches to identify determinants of malaria transmission in different ecological settings and to provide evidence for the impact of malaria control policies. She also studies the health, social, and environmental impacts of development in the Brazilian Amazon.
