The care of injured and critically ill patients is complex and challenging. The goal for the Trauma & Critical Care Symposium at Massachusetts General Hospital, accredited by Harvard Medical School, aims to give clear guidelines to practicing clinicians who manage such patients. This symposium offers an ideal mix of the traditional standard-of-care principles with new, cutting edge information. It explores issues in several areas including resuscitation, surgical techniques, bleeding control, inflammation and infection, respiratory care, nutrition, prehospital care, rehabilitation, and ethics. Multiple learning modalities will be incorporated into the course to engage the learner in the educational process and help them develop new strategies they can apply in their own practice setting.
This is an accredited, in-person course offered by Mass General Brigham. This course is targeted to Primary Care Physicians, Specialty Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists and Physician Assistants.
