What you'll learn

  • Recognize the most common musculoskeletal ailments in their patient population.

  • Identify strategies to diagnose injuries to the musculoskeletal system. These strategies will include appropriate ordering of imaging studies, careful physical exam skills and interpretation of findings.

  • Practice appropriate patient counseling post diagnosis including escalating care or referral to a specialist.

Course description

This is an accredited, livestreamed course offered by Massachusetts General hospital Hospital. This course is targeted to primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and physician assistants. This course may also be of interest to physicians who practice in family medicine, internal medicine, lifestyle and mind-body medicine, orthopedics, pain medicine, pediatrics and adolescent medicine, physical medicine & rehabilitation, preventative medicine and geriatrics.
