What you'll learn

  • Identify and prioritize high‑value problems suited for AI intervention

  • Translate complex workflow and service issues into clear product opportunities, and develop a Product Requirements Document (PRD) with users, workflows, success metrics, and acceptance criteria

  • Use AI-enabled programming methods to pressure‑test assumptions and address clinical, operational, technical, safety, and policy dimensions

  • Build and test a functional prototype or substantial MVP, then evaluate implementation readiness, governance needs, and pilot design considerations

  • Communicate the opportunity and next‑step plan through a concise, decision‑ready pitch

  • Understand how to get from prototype to production, including compliance, security, fairness, and evidence generation

Course description

From Strategy to Execution in AI-Enabled Health Innovation

Leaders across hospitals, payers, life sciences, and public health are experiencing a second wave of AI adoption. The first wave supported existing tasks; the next wave lets non‑engineers specify and generate software‑like workflows through natural language. Beyond Vibe Coding: Building AI Solutions to Transform Health Care is for leaders ready to move beyond strategy and into building, while ensuring the systems they create are safe, bounded, auditable, and evidence‑generating.

Participants bring an opportunity area and work through a structured process to define the problem, validate the need, scope the solution, and develop a prototype. We explicitly address key concepts such as vibe coding, natural language programming, and agentic engineering, and teach how to move from early experimentation to production‑ready solutions.
