Biography

Dr. Luana Marques is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Founder and Director of Community Psychiatry PRIDE at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and former President of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. With two decades of research on anxiety, avoidance, and decision-making under pressure, she is recognized as a leading expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBTs) and the creator of the Bold Move® framework — a science-backed approach to moving through discomfort and taking action when the path ahead is unclear.


She is the author of the critically acclaimed book Bold Move: A 3-Step Plan to Transform Anxiety into Power, which translates decades of clinical science into practical tools anyone can use. Her work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, Good Morning America, and Face the Nation, and she is a frequent guest on top podcasts including The Mel Robbins Podcast and Ten Percent Happier.
